Please read these guidelines before joining the discussions.

1. Respect everyone on The Grid

Disagree with an opinion without attacking the person behind it. Friendly rivalry and banter are welcome. Personal abuse, bullying, threats, discrimination, hate speech and harassment are not. Respect applies to members, drivers, teams and anyone discussed here.

2. Keep the discussion relevant

Post in the appropriate section, use a clear topic title and check whether a similar discussion already exists. Avoid posting the same message across multiple topics. Keep replies relevant and give other members room to contribute.

3. Separate facts, rumours and opinions

Opinions are encouraged, but don’t present speculation as confirmed news. When sharing news, quotes or claims, include a reliable source where possible. Clearly label rumours and predictions, and correct information if you discover it is wrong.

4. No spam or unwanted promotion

Do not post repetitive messages, scams, misleading links, referral spam or unsolicited advertising. Ask the admin before promoting a business, product, service or your own community. A useful link that supports a discussion is welcome; repeated promotion is not.

5. Respect privacy and other people’s work

Do not publish someone’s private messages, contact details or personal information without permission. Share images and other material only when you have permission or a valid right to use them. Credit the original source and link to articles instead of copying them in full. Do not share pirated streams or downloads.

6. Report problems rather than escalating them

If a post breaks the rules, use the Report option where available or contact aki.malik@ankit2world.com with a link to the post. Explain the concern clearly. Do not organise attacks against another member or turn the discussion into a public argument.

7. Participate fairly

Use your account honestly. Do not impersonate another person, create extra accounts to manipulate rankings, exchange likes to inflate points, or flood the forum with low-effort replies. Posting “nice” fifty times is not a championship-winning strategy.

8. Moderation keeps The Grid welcoming

Admins and moderators may move, edit or remove content that breaks these guidelines. Depending on the seriousness of the issue, members may receive a warning, temporary restrictions or a ban. Serious abuse may result in immediate action. If you believe a decision was mistaken, contact the admin calmly with the relevant details.

How member rankings work

Your rank follows your reputation points, rather than simply counting your posts. Under the current points settings, starting a topic earns 2 points, posting a reply earns 1 point, receiving a like adds 0.5 points, and receiving a dislike deducts 0.5 points.

Ranks progress when your total reaches these thresholds:

Contribute useful thoughts, welcome new members and keep the conversations interesting. Your rank recognises participation; it does not give you moderation powers or permission to ignore the rules. Because reputation can decrease, ranks can move down as well as up.

Prizes and giveaways

Any LEGO car giveaway or other community prize will have its own dedicated topic explaining eligibility, qualifying ranks, deadlines and how the winner is selected. Participation or reaching a rank does not guarantee a prize. Please read that topic for the full details.
